Michael Sjøberg is the Owner & CEO of Human Advisor Group, where he advises corporate management in crisis management through his consultancy, including stress debriefings of critical incidents involving employees. He is also the director of Delta Crisis Management ApS, an international company specializing in risk and analysis management with a particular focus on a wide range of areas, from cyber security, ransomware attacks, to hostage negotiations.
Michael Sjøberg has experience as a crisis team leader in the Danish Army’s operational command and he is a co-founder of the Danish Armed Forces Hostage Survival Concept. Therefore, he has extensive knowledge about both ransomware and hostage negotiation. He also has experience as a political advisor in the Confederation of Danish Industry and as a security officer at the Royal Danish Embassy in Moscow, Russia.
Michael Sjøberg is a former intelligence officer and has been involved in crisis management and body language interpretation since 1999. He is a captain in the reserves and holds a degree in political science with a specialization in complex risk management, crisis communication, and strategic handling of high-profile hostage situations. He has helped establish and implement the Defense’s hostage handling concept, where he has among other things taught instructors and intelligence officers in interview techniques and body language analysis.
Michael Sjøberg is one of the few in Denmark trained as a hostage negotiator at New Scotland Yard and as a Critical Incident Stress Debriefer by the ICISF in Maryland, USA. For the past 15 years, Michael has trained employees in a wide range of private and public organizations in interview techniques, source management, and body language analysis, including at several of the country’s leading law firms, multiple state regulatory authorities, and the Court Administration.
