The leadership of the future is regenerative
We run faster and faster, but our productivity and engagement decrease. We attend more and more meetings, but rarely talk about the essentials. We steal each other’s time and energy. We celebrate busyness and forget to take breaks. We have all the possibility of a good (work) life, but we are mentally disconnected, sadder, and more stressed than ever before.
Therefore, we need leaders who create more presence, joy, and energy than they take. We need leaders who see organizations as an ecosystem rather than organizations characterized by heavy hierarchies of exclusion, silo thinking and mechanical management. We need leaders who focus on the regenerative principles of business to balance productivity and breaks.
