Secretary General of Danes Worldwide.
We have invited Michael Bach Petersen from Danes Worldwide to a talk where he will touch on the value for Denmark of having Danes who live and work abroad, what characterizes their relationship with Denmark while they are away, and the challenges they face when they might one day return to Denmark.
Michael Bach Petersen has been Secretary General of Danes Worldwide since 2022, which is the interest and membership organization for Danes living abroad. He has lived in six countries for a total of 14 years, so he knows firsthand what it’s like to be a Dane abroad. As a child, he followed his parents on their postings to Poland, the former Yugoslavia, and West Germany; as a young man, he studied in France, Germany, and Belgium; and as a diplomat, he was posted at the Danish embassy in Cairo.
Come join us for an interesting evening, with a focus on the value Expat Danes bring in the international perspective.
